Although he faced a couple of mistimed shots, fortune favored him, ensuring he guided Mumbai to victory and kept their playoff hopes alive. His innings culminated with a winning shot over deep extra cover, marking his second IPL century for Mumbai Indians, following Rohit Sharma.
Additionally, Suryakumar’s achievement sees him join Rohit Sharma as the only Mumbai Indians batters to have scored two IPL centuries. Furthermore, he matched the T20 century tally of KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad among Indian cricketers.
